Ehsaan clarifies Actually Mr Bachchan asked for the change as he did not want to break the series of hit he has got with Shankar as the singer in the form of chartbusters like Kajra Re (Bunty Aur Babli) and Rock and Roll (Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna). But why the change? Did they feel that Daler's voice did not fit the song? Well that would be surprising considering that the song has a strong Punjabi flavour which happens to be Daler's domain. Till last week Daler Mehendi was quite excited about the song and even a few lines for us until he came to know that his vocals were subsequently replaced by Shankar Mahadevan who also happens to be one of the music directors from the trio of Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy who have composed for the film.
